Job description
Under the direction of the Manager Clinical Research, the Research Assistant will recruit and enroll participants who are interested in participating in various research protocols. This position is required to conduct the informed consent process with the potential study patients; and follow all quality control/assurance, safety, and research protocols for handling laboratory specimens and complete associated documentation. Works well as a team member with the research and hospital staff and independently complete duties and assignments in a timely fashion.
Salary Range: $16.22 to $23.92 hourly
Qualifications:
Education:

Requires a high school diploma or GED.

Bachelor's degree in a biological science or laboratory medicine is highly desired.
Experience:
-
Requires a minimum of one (1) year of related healthcare experience preferably in a laboratory or clinical research setting.
Specialized Training:
-
Must have Human Subjects Protection training or be able to obtain within 14 days of hire.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-
Must understand basic scientific concepts.

Requires the ability to intelligently communicate the purpose and procedures of research studies with patients.

Must be able to perform documentation, specimen processing and shipping.

Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.The ability to work some nights and weekends as needed is preferred.

Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week, Days
