About the role
You will lead a collaborative projects within the University of Leicester Cancer Research Centre that aims at analysing the contribution of metabolism and diet towards the development of colorectal cancer harbouring mutation in the BRAF oncogene. You will use mouse models of colorectal cancer as well as in vitro models, such as 3 dimensional organoid culture. You will apply a range of techniques spanning from histological assessment of tissue, multiple immunofluorescence, transcriptomic and more traditional molecular biology techniques, such as western blotting and real-time PCR.
You will assist in preparation of manuscripts and their revision, as well as contribute towards grant proposals. You will support supervision of undergraduate and post-graduate students.Additional information
