The goal of the Rutgers Center for Advancing Research and Evaluation for Patient-Centered Care (CARE PCC) is to unite those whose mission is to improve patient outcomes and experiences, and to take root within the institutional structure as a means of continuous evaluation and learning within our healthcare organization. CARE PCC strives to better enable patients across health systems to make informed decisions and play a role in their own care.
Under the guidance of the Director and Executive Director, assists in the conduct of specialized behavioral and social science research and evaluation across multiple projects; participates in research activities within the Center.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- As directed, performs various behavioral and social science research and evaluation operations relative to ongoing investigatory activities of the Center including but not limited to conducting literature reviews; and collecting, managing, and analyzing data.
- Prepares data for timely completion of all requirements of grant reporting including correspondence, progress reports, program evaluations, and other related reports.
- Assists principal investigator(s) and research administrator with the preparation of articles and presentations.
- Organizes, maintains, and updates website content.
- Develops spreadsheets and databases to support project activities.

- Master’s Degree in public health, social or behavioral science plus one (1) year of related research experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant science plus two (2) years of related research experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent computer skills including, with working knowledge of software packages including: EndNote; SPSS; Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.
