Research Support Specialist - Part Time
Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Psychology or a related field in hand May 2023. Ability to demonstrate professional competence in research activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Research experience. Experience with scheduling or recruiting research participants by telephone. Experience conducting research interviews. Experience acquiring EEG data for research studies.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Research Support Specialist will assist in research examining how early temperament and other psychosocial and biological factors influence adolescents’ and young adults’ emotional and behavioral adjustment and functioning. The incumbent must be sensitive and attentive to the participant at all times and be able to anticipate and deal with any discomfort they may experience. The Research Support Specialist will have excellent interpersonal and time management skills, attentive to details. This is a part time position 0.50 FTE.
- Schedule laboratory visits and interviews.
- Run laboratory visits (EEG and behavioral tasks).
- Conduct semi-structured interviews; participating in rating meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Non Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
