We are a family-based community that is continuously growing, looking for a Resident Care Coordinator to oversee our communities in Highlands Ranch. The right candidate would be compassionate and empathetic, motivated for success, hardworking, and dependable.
JOB SUMMARY:
A person who is specifically trained and competent to assist the Executive Director in overseeing the overall care of Rocky Mountain Assisted Living Residents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a Valid QMAP
- Must have a passion for the quality care of the elderly
- Ability to professionally and effectively communicate verbally and via written word
- A minimum of 2 years management experience in the Senior Living field
- Current QMAP Certification
- Current 1st Aid Certification
- 21 years of age or older
- Experience providing care to the elderly in a memory care setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
LINE OF AUTHORITY:
Reports directly to Executive Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports Rocky Mountain Assisted Living’s House Managers, Wellness Director, Human Resources , Move-In Coordinator, Marketing Director, Staff Development Coordinator and Facilities Manager.
- Oversees and manages House Managers, Caregivers, and QMAPS of assigned homes. Provides ongoing education and support while ensuring s/he is meeting expectations.
- Coordinates and conducts biweekly House Manager meetings and ongoing educational in-services. Works with South Resident Care Coordinator to develop trainings that are pertinent to the educational needs of all House Managers.
- Coordinates and conducts monthly staff meetings and ongoing educational in-services for each assigned home. Ensures educational material is pertinent to staff and/or Resident needs at each home.
- Interviews and hires team members. Assists Human Resource Coordinator and Staff Development Coordinator in hiring new employees for all positions, including conducting interviews, criminal background checks and employee references checks. Maintains on call availability for staff call ins.
- Visits each assigned home at least daily, ensuring the safety and security of Rocky Mountain Assisted Living property and Residents. Ensures the entire home, including Resident rooms are clean and organized. Reports maintenance issues to Facilities Manager
- Oversees and manages all activities involved in Rocky Mountain Assisted Living’s Quality Management Program. Reports findings to the Quality Management Committee and Rocky Mountain Assisted Living’s Executive Director.
- Coordinates and conducts Resident Care Conferences whenever concerns arise that the facility can no longer provide quality care for a Resident, a significant change in Resident condition has occurred or at the request of House Manager, Resident or Resident representative. Communicates Resident and/or Resident representative concerns to Executive Director and direct care staff and House Managers as appropriate. Ensures concerns are being addressed appropriately and follows up when appropriate.
- Maintains on-call availability for Resident care and staffing needs. Communicates with Executive Director and coordinates with the South Resident Care Coordinator regarding alternate plans for call forwarding, resident care, and staffing concerns.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
