Position Summary
The Regional Service Director oversees the management of the maintenance staff assigned to properties within their region to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet LURIN’s established standards and applicable laws for safety, appearance, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Five to ten years of experience in apartment, residential, or commercial maintenance or related field; previous supervision experience a plus
- Working knowledge of maintenance and repair of items such as HVAC units, plumbing, electrical, household appliances, and painting
- HVAC or EPA Type II Certification
- Ability to work flexible schedule that may including working special event, weekends, and on call.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate and direct the financial planning and budgeting activities of all maintenance departments within assigned properties.
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement a maintenance budget and regular.
- Review and update processes, procedures, and guidelines to maximize efficiency.
- Oversee and manage maintenance contracts, electrical, phone, and emergency response systems.
- Develop, update, and implement disaster preparedness procedures.
- Ensure renovation, remodeling, and maintenance of assigned properties is being completed to meet established company standards and applicable laws for safety, appearance, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate needs and review requests for new equipment and maintenance supplies.
- Hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policies.
