Residential Assistants (RA's) will provide support and guidance for residents living in the Rose House. RA's are responsible to maintain order in the facility by implementing behavioral rules and resolving conflicts between residents. RA's will ensure resident safety by monitoring issues and determining safety measures throughout the facility. RA's will also take disciplinary action when necessary, such as when a resident continually breaks rules or endanger others. RA's may need to administer drug test to support resident’s recovery or compliance with probation or parole.

The primary duty

Providing direct support to the Rose House’s residents. This may include assisting with day-to-day tasks such as oversight of bathing, grooming, housekeeping, and meal preparation.

Chaperone or transport residents to appointments, school, places of employment and recreational activities.

RA's will assess residents’ health, social, and behavioral needs and will collaborate with leadership to develop actionable plans to support residents.

Provide social support and opportunities for residents to interact by organizing group events and meetings. Activities may occur onsite or remote.

RA's will document residents’ daily activities, issues, and other pertinent information in the resident’s records. This may include a detail intake, behavioral or social issues, and other required information (This administrative duty requires a high level of attention to detail, as well as a solid understanding of resident privacy and confidentiality guidelines).

RA's may also need to provide these records to law enforcement, medical professionals, and case managers.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a residential assistant desired

Strong communication skills

Ability to be flexible, intuitive, and inventive

Self-motivated and team oriented

Conducts self in a professional manner

Must have valid driver’s license (Washington or Oregon)

Must have valid first aid certificate with CPR

Strong skills in crisis management and intervention

Must be able to successfully pass the DHS background

Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen

Salary: $17.50- $18.00

Shifts:

Days 6am-2pm

Swing 2pm-10pm

Nights 10pm-6am
