Hours: Full-time (40-hours/week)

This position is remote within Georgia and will regularly travel within South Georgia including Columbus, Albany, Bainbridge, Cordell, Tifton, Valdosta, Waycross, Macon, Americus, McRae, Moultrie, and Thomasville areas.

As a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter, you will be primarily responsible for effectively developing the recruitment planning and activities to generate a pool of culturally diverse resource families to serve vulnerable children referred to the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Program. This individual is also responsible for developing recruitment plans that are unique to each child being served in the program. The ultimate goal of the Recruiter is to ensure permanency for the children in the program.

This position is expected to function effectively with moderate supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Child-Focused Recruitment Model to obtain permanency for the specific state of the local branch’s waiting children;
  • Coordinate the necessary authorizations to utilize photos of Wendy’s Wonderful Kids children, as appropriate and as permitted by the custodial agency;
  • Utilize the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids children as a part of the recruitment process, when appropriate;
  • Partner with service area counties to identify the appropriate children to be referred to the program;
  • Conduct monthly visits with referred children to include providing travel throughout the respective state with occasional overnight travel;
  • Effectively manage the assigned caseload of children who are free for adoption, and use the Child Focused Recruitment Model to find permanency for these children;
  • Host child-focused recruitment events or activities in the service area;
  • Complete monthly statistical and programmatic reports in a timely manner;
  • Serve as a recruiter and provide timely follow up to all inquiries by phone and/or email within 24 hours of contact;
  • Distribute information packet by mail within 24 hours of the request;
  • Attend monthly Bethany Staff Meetings and monthly WWK Team Meetings in the local branch office;
  • Attend the annual Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter Summit hosted by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption;
  • Participate in the evaluation activities as directed by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption in a timely manner;
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or equivalent field of study from an accredited college with prior adoption social work experience or a Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or equivalent field of study from an accredited college;
  • Knowledge of state, community and agency resources;
  • Demonstrated public speaking and training skills with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Must possess the ability to engage, develop, and maintain positive community relationships with a diverse group of individuals;
  • Must possess excellent interviewing, observation, diagnostic, and family assessment skills; • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Work well under pressure and adaptable to change;
  • Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions;

  • Active motor vehicle license and maintain a reliable vehicle with adequate insurance coverage;
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commitment.
