The Spring House Team is now searching for a Restaurant Manager to join us this summer!

The Spring House Hotel is Block Island's premier hotel and restaurant, offering unmatched New England charm and hospitality since 1852. This is the largest and oldest full service resort on the island, featuring exceptional views of the Atlantic Ocean and notable dining experiences. Each season we proudly serve guests fresh vegetables harvested from three acres of gardens on our property.The establishment offers over 50 different types of accommodations, two on-site restaurants and hosts over 30 private events and weddings each season. The Spring House also employs over 100 employees each season, representing cultures from around the world.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years in a leadership or management role within the hospitality industry - preferably restaurant-oriented
- May 2023 to October 2023 availability - potential to grow long-term with local, family-owned hospitality group
- Responsible for overseeing the restaurant during service - Front of House: hosts, servers, bartenders, bussers, etc. while working in coordination with culinary team to execute timely service and quality product
- Strong customer service skills - dealing with requests and issues that arise
- Familiarity with MICROS system, or ability to train and pick-up new systems quickly
- Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment and balance guest needs while assisting staff throughout service window
- Confident and articulate when communicating with guests
- Team-oriented mentality with superiors, management coworkers, and support staff
- Notable time management and guest relations skills
- Outgoing, service-minded, motivated to perform well
