Sodexo is seeking a Retail Food Manager 2 to join our food service team at Phoenix Children's Hospital in Phoenix, AZ.
Phoenix Children's Hospital is a 457-bed pediatric hospital committed to providing quality care and excellent service. This account has a fast paced, high volume food service department, focused on achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will be directing and participating in all daily operations for the full-service Cafe, Starbucks Coffee Shop and Coffee Cart. Responsibilities will include cash handling/management, marketing/signage, scheduling, inventory/ordering, training and development of staff, direct customer interaction, and supervision of up to 25 hourly associates, 3 supervisors and hourly lead employees. Also, you will be responsible for overseeing other areas of operations.
Flexibility of hours is needed for this position to cover opening and closing duties as needed by the operation. This location is a showcase account with a state-of-the-art kitchen and retail dining facility and full At Your Request Room Service Health Touch operation, and catering services.
The successful candidate will:
oversee cash handing processes, and POS programming and maintenance;- ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed;
- conduct retail brand standard audits (in-house and national brands);
- maintain integrity of retail branded concept standards (national and in-house brands);
- manage the opening and closing the operation as well daily retail food service operations;
- ensure all needed signage (including digital) is in place;
- manage vendor relationships and compliance; and/or
- maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place.

Key Duties

- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers.
