Sales Associate's Job Description

Overview:

By projecting a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional image to our customers on the sales floor and at the registers, our Sales Associate ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. Associates/key holders contribute to the store's profitability by being part of a team and adhering to the Company's customer service, cash handling, loss prevention, merchandising, and inventory control policies and procedures at all times. Honesty, dependability, flexibility, self-motivation, excellent communication skills and ability to function as a team member are essential.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Customer Service and Sales:

• Provide outstanding customer service; ensure customer satisfaction

• Practice GRAPES service standards

• Encourage customers to try on products by recommending outfit pieces and accessories.

• Maintain a positive, visible, accessible presence on the sales floor and at the register.

Operations and Administration:

• Ability to operate Point of Sale and run a register; computer knowledge is essential.

• Ability to balance daily cash count.

• Keep store clean and safe at all times.

• Process all operational paperwork in a timely manner.

• Assist supervisor with various daily functions.

• Follow all operational policies and procedures as directed by the Company.

• Follow all processing/replenishment procedures.

Merchandising and Visual Standards:

• Ensure proper merchandise presentation on fixtures, walls, and displays.

• Keep shelves, racks, and tables full of merchandise.

• Hang, straighten, and fold merchandise.

• Ensure items are priced, sized, and ticketed correctly.
