Return To Work Case Manager
Job description
PENNEP is seeking a Return To Work Case Manager. The Staff Nurse RN is responsible for providing medical and health services to the organisations employees based in the US.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist managers/workers with evaluation of RETURN TO WORK criteria and decisions.
- Will field calls relating to COVID and return to work.
- Provides organisations employees based in the US access to medical and health services with the objective of providing for optimal safe, efficient, and productive operations and optimal employee relations.
- Create medical records including: return to work notes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have NC RN license.
- Occupational health experience a plus.
- Needs computer skill: electronic medical records entry Excel spreadsheet (simple entry).
- Phone skills, mainly calls for COVID and some other return to work questions.
- Incumbent knowledge should include an overall understanding of occupational health.
- The Staff Nurse RN reports directly to the Clinical Nursing Supervisor.
- The RN serves as the site expert medical authority pertaining to medical decisions which must be made.
- The Staff Nurse RN consults with the national medical consultant physician, but is expected to make decisions based upon a combination of written directives, legal requirements, precedent, CDC guidelines and previous experience.
- The RN is regularly in contact with physicians who are providing non-occupational and occupational medical care and rehabilitation for employees.
Education & Experience:
- State licensure is also required.
- Position requires graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science or Associate Degree in nursing program.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in Occupational Health Nursing, medical assessment, emergency medical care, clinic work, and/or public health nursing.
- Incumbent must be licensed to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina.
- Certification via the American Board of Occupational Health Nursing COHN-S OR COHN is preferred.

Salary: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Education:
- Associate (Preferred)
Experience:
- Occupational Health Nursing, medical assessment: 4 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
- COHN (Preferred)
- COHN-S (Preferred)
- license to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina (Preferred)
