Job description

Dielectric is hiring an RF Technician to assemble, troubleshoot, and perform testing of large coaxial antennas under the guidance of Engineering. The responsible individual will work hands-on with a wide variety of antennas and their respective unique performance requirements as defined by engineering drawings and process control documentation. Specific training will be provided for Dielectric proprietary software, experience with RF is a huge plus, however, we are willing to train a candidate with a background in electronics, strong problem- solving skills, and the desire to learn.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with production specifications and plant data for product assembly
  • Tests products to make sure they meet technical specifications using a variety of tools such as Digital multimeters, Spectrum Analyzers, and Power Amplifiers
  • Skilled and knowledgeable in all aspects of technician and assembler duties and responsibilities
  • Ability to use hand tools / basic power tools including wrenches, drills. Ability to operate a manual lathe is a plus for some complex systems.
  • Make recommendations for product & process improvements
  • Identify, troubleshoot and correct problems
  • Able to produce a quality product in a safe and timely manner
  • Able to multi-task
  • Other duties as assigned
  • This position works closely with and reports to Engineering

Required Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to follow all safety guidelines
  • Knowledge and understanding of RF, TV and FM antenna equipment is a plus
  • Ability to operate network analyzer and measuring equipment
  • Strong product and safety knowledge is a must
  • Comfortable and proficient with computers & other electronics including Windows OS and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated organizational & communication skills with attention to detail and understands quality criteria
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Analytical with strong problem solving abilities

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Must be able to operate all equipment safely and within the manufacturers specifications
  • The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel and crouch frequently. Able to work at heights using ladders, manlifts, and scissor lifts
