Position Summary
The Risk & Compliance Analyst position is responsible for completion and documentation of many of the risk management functions of the Credit Union. The position leverages several tools to ensure compliance with internal processes and best practices and manage swift remediation of self-identified control deficiencies.
Essential Job Functions:
· Complete various monitoring activities including risk assessments for various areas of the credit union.
· Conducts internal and external audits, provide audit related support including audit remediation.
· Collaborate with Retail Admin and Training to communicate deficiencies identified. Create/update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to align with practices.
· Document, track results and prepare reporting of information obtained from business units in relation to monitoring for their respective areas. Complete other risk and compliance activities (utilizing WolfPac and other available systems) as outlined in the Compliance Management Program.
· Provide feedback to management regarding risk management and compliance management functions. Continuously strives to improve process and operational efficiency.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
· Education and Experience
o Associates degree in business or finance with 2 to 3 years of financial industry experience.
o Equivalent of education and experience required in absence of degree.
· Skills/Knowledge/Certifications
o Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office applications-Word, Excel, and other web-based applications
o Ability to communicate clearly and effectively English
o Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems
o Detail-oriented
o Strong organizational and time management skills
o Make recommendations for solving problem of moderate complexity and importance
o Capacity to work independently.
o Analytical and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
o Hybrid work conditions
o Normal office environment
o Regular use of telephone, WebEx and E-mail for communication is essential.
o Frequent sitting and standing at a desk
o Heavy keyboard use
