About this unit:
Fairview Range is looking for a Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit in Hibbing, MN. The ICU is adjacent to our Acute Care unit, treating medical/surgical/pediatric patients. Each patient room is equipped with telemed capabilities. The RN works alongside our Hospitalists to provide life-saving treatment to patients who are critically ill or injured.

- Multidisciplinary care team including hospitalists and advanced practice providers, RNs, LPNs, unit assistants, social workers, RN case managers

Responsibilities/Job Description:
- Performs a total systems assessment according to established policies (including physical, psychosocial and spiritual data) upon admission, as well as ongoing assessments.
- Analyzes assessment data, identifies problems and develops the plan of care in collaboration with the patient, significant other and resource personnel.
- Provides age specific direct patient care in collaboration with all disciplines according to standards of care.
Required:
- Current ICU experience
- Current Minnesota RN licensure
- Current BLS certification and maintains certification. Current ACLS and BCS or acquires within 3 months of employment and maintains certification. Current PALS or acquires within 6 months and maintains certification.
Preferred:
- Recent Critical Care or Emergency nursing experience, current pediatric experience, current charge experience.
- Critical Care experience within the last 3 years.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
If no applicants meet the qualifications, consideration will be given to those with one year of medical/surgical experience. A preference will be given to those who have current BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
