Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center is a 133-bed facility that provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, women’s services, orthopedic, cardiac care and behavioral health services. Our surgical services include robotic-assisted technology, allowing our surgeons to operate with the tiniest incisions and with greater vision, precision and control.

Provides nursing care within the philosophy,objectives and policies of the facility.

Administersprescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs.

Serves as the primary coordinator of alldisciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Monitors, records and communicates patientcondition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.

Assessesand coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

EDUCATION:
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
Preferred: Enrolled in a bachelors of nursing program

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION: Required:
Current Virginia nursing license or current multi-state RN license with eligibility to practice in Virginia.

Current certification as an American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider.

Required: Current certification as an American Heart Association ACLS Healthcare Provider.

CPI within 60 days of hire

EXPERIENCE: Required:
2 years of acute care experience is required. The Chief Nursing Officer may review and approve an exception to this specific requirement based on other qualifications, credentials, or type of experience.

Recent work experience in a minimum of 2 competency categories

Required: Ability to successfully pass the required Virginia State Background check in order to float to the Behavioral Health Unit
