Job Description:

• Full time-Day shifts
• Use the nursing process to design, coordinate, and deliver patient care that meets the identified needs of patients having operative procedures
• May act as scrub or circulating nurse in various procedures.
• Administers patient medications, coordinates treatments and procedures in a safe, effective, and appropriate manner.
• Exercises independent judgement and decision making to control the OR environment and maintain sterile field, privacy, body temp, and manage potential for discomfort, injury, or risks of infection.
• Performs and assists in various diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures, applying the nursing proves of assessment, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating plans of care for assigned patients.
• Responsible for following established standards of nursing practice as delineated by the medical center.
• Work collaboratively with ancillary nursing personnel and promote teamwork.
• Follows HIPAA compliance.

Requirements:

• active RN license in California (BSN preferred)
• BLS and ACLS required
• PALS preferred
• Certified Nurse Operating Room Certification (CNOR) preferred
• 1 year of operating room experience as RN or completion of approved Perioperative Services training program required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $53.00 - $74.00 per hour
