General Description of Function:

Provide pick-up and delivery services of laboratory cases or other related items to our customers/clients. This position is unique in that drivers are the “face” of the business; therefore, this position requires professional appearance and demeanor.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

• Creates and follows the most efficient routes for delivering goods, and sorts items to be delivered according to the delivery route.
• Loads bags, containers, and/or vehicles with items to be delivered, and ensures they are loaded correctly.
• May service vehicle driven, such as checking fluid levels and replenishing fuel.
• Provide daily pick-up and delivery of products as requested or assigned.
• Represent Apex Dental Laboratory Group to all customers with courtesy, respect and focus in exceeding their expectations.
• Maintain an excellent driving record, observing all rules of the road and proper safety at all times.

• Service vehicle driven, such as checking fluid levels and replenishing fuel.
• Actively participate and share ideas for change that will positively affect the relationship Apex Dental Laboratory Group has with its customers.
• Be the liaison between Apex Dental Laboratory Group customers and the laboratory by informing the appropriate team member of concerns, including but not limited to observations about competitors in the market, behaviors and comments of dental teams relative to Apex Dental Laboratory Group products and services, etc.
• Follow laboratory protocols in maintaining upkeep and cleanliness of company vehicle.
• Meet the needs of the customer by being flexible and receptive to changes/alterations in the delivery route.
• Participate in Company sponsored training and meetings as required
• Support and incorporate Apex Mission, Vision and Core Values
• Clean work area daily
• Perform other duties as required and assigned

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
• Detail oriented
• Personable individual with good oral communication skills
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to deal with stressful situations caused by driving conditions and/or run schedules or changes.
• Professional and neat in appearance
• Customer service oriented

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

• Valid Driver’s License

Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:

• Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work tasks that require and follow safety guidelines as stated in Apex Safety & Health Plan Manual.
• Company Vehicle

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift 25lbs
