ESHA Safety Specialist

We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Safety Specialist at our powder coating manufacturing facility in White City, Oregon. Job duties for this position include; Monitoring workplace daily to ensure al activity meets safety compliance standards, working with the ESHA Manager to develop and implement the company emergency action plan, in addition to fire hazard mitigation measures, responding to on-site incidents, conducting investigations, identifying hazards or faults causing the incidents, staying up to date with changing safety regulations and industry best practices, etc. This is a full time day shift position Monday through Friday with the possibility of overtime. Pay for this position depends on experience.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a safety officer with in-depth knowledge and experience with local, state and federal regulations.
• Past training in occupational safety requirements and OSHA guidelines preferred
• Must be able to deal with high stress situations on a regular basis
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must have the ability to learn from a wide variety of disciplines and people quickly and effectively.
• Must have the ability to respond immediately in off-hours to emergencies when available, or to coordinate a response with appropriate personnel when unavailable.
