We are seeking an experienced and nature loving Retail Sales Associate to join our South Asheville team. This is a 15-20 hour/week position that reports directly to the store owner. The primary responsibility of the Sales Associate is providing a high energy customer experience by assisting customers with their backyard bird feeding needs. Other duties include, ringing up customers, keeping sales floor stocked, clean and merchandised, checking in and unloading shipments (must be able to lift up to 20lbs.), as well as opening and closing the store. We have a great training program, so bird knowledge is not required. However, previous retail experience with focus on high level customer service, and a willingness and ability to learn about the hobby of backyard bird feeding is required. We love nature, the birds and our customers, and take pride in providing them with the highest quality products and expert knowledge. Join our team, and work in a relaxed and fun atmosphere with reasonable retail hours. This shift is mainly during the week, between 9:30am-5:30pm, but weekend availability is also required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
