This Ace Hardware is located near San Francisco, California in the Delta region and generates approximately 8 million in revenue with 50 employee associates. Benefits: the Full Time Employee (when vested) will accrue Paid Time Off based on an hourly formula. FT Employees may also subscribe to medical, dental, and vision packages offered, plus supplemental insurance packages, and a 401K plan, if qualified.
Part Time Employees (when vested) will accrue Paid Time Off based on an hourly formula.
The primary responsibility of the Sales Associate position is to provide helpful customer service, generate sales, and merchandise product. Stock, maintain, and clean product shelving area, and have a general knowledge of product locations.

The Sales Associate is expected to:

• Positively represent Brentwood Ace Hardware through excellent Customer Service
• Present a pleasant and professional appearance based on Ace standards
• Have a product knowledge of hardware related items and a willingness to learn
• Be pleasant and tactful with each customer interaction
• Possess problem-solving and organizational skills
• Answer customer phone calls
• Be aware and knowledgeable of all store promotions, advertisings, and sales
• Help process/stock merchandise to correct shelf locations
• Keep shelves neat, orderly, and restocked
• Keep aisle and floor areas free from debris and hazards
• Assist management with inventory shortages, outages, and counts
• Have a general computer knowledge in order to use web browsers and POS software
• Respond to safety issues
• Be observant of shoplifting activity
• 18 years or older
• High School diploma/GED
• Have a willingness to learn
• Familiarity with computer programs and email
• Proficient in written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand and move for an extended period of time
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Move/handle boxes of merchandise throughout the store including lifting/stacking assisting customers
• Background check with Credential Check a Professional screening service
• Drug test; hair and urine within 24 hours of job offering
