Sales/Customer Service/Receiving Clerk
Job description
Responsible for selling of goods and or services associated with outdoor power equipment.
Provide overall customer service to include checking out customers, answering
Questions, handling warranty information, and providing receipt of purchase.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Check out items for customers.
Greet customers.
Sell goods and services.
Use computers and provided materials to look up parts.
Provide information for customers who have problems or questions.
Demonstrate how to use a product and maximize the use of its features.
Take money in the form of cash, credit card or check.
Issue receipts refunds and credits.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Direct customers to where they can find certain merchandise.
Prepare product for display.
Keep record of notes and transactions.
Answer telephones and questions over the phone.
Receive, examine, and tag equipment to be repaired.
Knowledge of products, attend all scheduled training offered.
All other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds at varying frequencies.
Ability to work as part of a team and adhere to all safety and company policies.
Basic Qualifications:
Preferred related experience and or training
Familiar with computers and ability to learn related computer systems
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring prompt and accurate shipment of our products and verifying incoming shipments to ensure total customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and verify daily shipments from small package services and various truck deliveries: match purchase order with slip, enter information into computer, and deliver to appropriate area.
Unload and verify freight deliveries: unload with forklift as needed and deliver to appropriate area, check package counts, and check for damage, and enter information into system.
Prepare all shipping, receiving, and inventory functions on computer system.
Ship small packages by completing necessary information on forms. Close out UPS shipping systems and run daily reports. Arrange for packages to be picked up by carrier.
Handle return shipments to manufacturers. Wrap packages for shipment and attach invoice.
REQUIREMENTS:
Good organizational and communication skills. Basic computer skills. Data entry experience. Attention to detail. Ability to learn quickly, works reliably and accurately, and performs well as a member of the team.
Provide customer service, at counter, and by phone as needed.
Ability to stand for 8+ hours per day.
All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred experience in all phases of shipping and receiving.
Knowledge of Outdoor Power Equipment
Paid Holidays ( company offered ) after 6 months
If company is open must work day before and day after for paid Holiday
