About this role:

Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. We focus on our clients' overall financial needs, with consideration and respect for their total relationship with Wells Fargo.

The Credit Sales and Trading group within Corporate and Investment Banking is seeking a director-level Investment Grade Credit Salesperson responsible for the distribution of Investment Grade Products to Tier 1 institutional credit investors.

In this role, you will:
  • Maintain a daily dialogue/relationship with investor base
  • Proactively provide ideas, research, market information, etc., to facilitate trading activity between Wells Fargo and our investor base
  • Actively engage the trading desk and their axes to facilitate trading between Wells Fargo and the investor base
  • Coordinate with internal partners, including other salespeople, traders, desk strategists, syndicate, and management to enhance client relationships
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 7+ years of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of direct coverage experience of one or more client verticals including Official Institutions, Banks, Insurance, Asset Managers, and HFs within Investment Grade Credit
  • Established relationships across the high grade credit markets including buy-side clients
  • Outstanding knowledge of Credit products and applications in the context of the above clients
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bloomberg proficiency
  • Candidate has to have established relationships across the high grade credit markets including buy-side clients
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • A proven track record of client development and retention are a must
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Job Expectations:
  • Up to 25% travel (Travel to clients, client presentations, and client conferences are required, when possible)
  • Registration for FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Base pay range for this position in New York is 275,000.00 - 275,000.00 USD
  • May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards
Pay Range
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00 Annual
