Job Overview:

We are looking for a fully remote Sales Engineer who will serve as a liaison in the sales process when complex and technical equipment or services are involved. The Sales Engineer will be a key role in ensuring our prospects and customers have a high-quality experience. The Sales Engineer will also ensure that our products and integrations are running smoothly.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Consults with existing and potential partners to assess and understand project needs and requirements.
  • Assists with the drafting of presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to partners.
  • Provides expertise and support to sales teams to communicate IT tech developments, project timeline and bottlenecks and how to align with the business.
  • Assists prospects and customers with Business Assessment (POCs, Pilots).
  • Helps eliminate bottlenecks by working cross functionally (Sales, Customer Success, Support, Product Management, Engineering) in order to get deals across the line.
  • Collaborates closely with Product Marketing and Engineering to share voice of the customer feedback in order to influence our product roadmap and GTM strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer success teams as a product expert and driver of the future of the solution.
  • Proposes improved materials or products to partners and explains benefits of changes.
  • Provides support to both internal and external stakeholders and resolves problems with technical drawings, mapping and scoping.
  • Partners with the sales team to configure demos that solve challenges faced by prospects to increase the efficiency and likelihood of success of the sales process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • 2-4 years of sales engineering, (pre-sales), or other relevant work experience.
  • Experience with sales technology (CRMs), cloud architecture, or telephony/web conferencing systems.
  • 2+ years in a similar role in SaaS sales engineering, pre-sales, or implementation
  • Understanding of security and privacy pertaining to SaaS systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or field related to products and services being sold preferred.
  • 2-4 years of related product or sales experience required.
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud or other E-commerce platforms
  • Experience in ERP Application
  • Experience with API
  • Experience presenting technical demos of custom solutions

The compensation package for this position includes a competitive base salary commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package of medical, dental, vision, short-term/long-term disability, 401K, and PTO.
