Position Summary:
Sales agents are an integral part of Resort operations. Guests will receive their first impression of the service standards at the time of reservation or query. Therefore, the right candidate must be courteous, knowledgeable, and informative. They serve as the primary greeters and point-of-contact when guests call, email, or walk in to inquire about or register for programs. Employees will need to be punctual and dressed appropriately in their uniform, accompanied by a smile. All employees will spend most of their shifts on a computer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists guests in the sale of Lift Tickets, Tubing Tickets, Rentals, Lessons, Retail Products, and Food & Beverage items.
- Assists guests with making or changing reservations over the phone or in person
- Operates the computer sales system efficiently and effectively on a daily basis
- Handles point-of-sale transactions involving cash, credit card, gift card, and voucher redemption
- Greets guests and answers all questions regarding ticketing/reservations, retail, food & beverage, weather conditions, mountain information, shuttle information, etc.
Job Qualifications:
- Have excellent customer service and sales skills, whether it be in person or over the phone
- Be comfortable speaking with customers face-to-face, over the phone, and through email
- Be knowledgeable about the Ski/Snowboard industry or be willing to learn about the Ski/Snowboard industry
- Be knowledgeable in Google Docs, and Microsoft applications and know how to navigate a computer desktop
- Must have cash-handling skills
- Ability to work and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to sit, stand and talk for long periods of time
- Ability to follow and execute instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
- Ability to maintain a clean work environment
- Be flexible and able to handle other job tasks not listed above
- Create a family-friendly environment for employees, staff, and guests
Position Type and Expected Work Hours
- Seasonal, full-time, part-time, hourly.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
