**This is a remote position, with need for occasional travel (dependent upon Covid impact and other protocols). This remote role has flexibility of location in the continental United States; the location of candidates will be taken into consideration during the candidate review and employment offer process.**

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Team Analyst & Coordinator reports to the Global Head of Sales and partners closely with several departments to provide details and analyses related to sales data. This team member is responsible for managing all sales data, and driving reporting related to various key processes in support of the internal field sales team, the finance department, and direct broker and broker representatives.


This team member additionally provides administrative support to the internal field sales team, direct broker and broker representatives through a variety of tasks and processes–including sales event support such as Tradeshows.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Sales Data Management and Reporting

  • Utilize portals such as SPINS Satori, UNFI/KeHE, WFM, and NetSuite to obtain necessary data for required sales reports
  • Drive and distribute key reports for the Sales Team on weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly basis, including reporting on:
    • Account performance
    • Category reviews
    • Forecasting
    • Sales Goals
    • Sales programs
    • Distributor velocity reports (monthly)
    • Key Account planners (monthly actual sales data, regular report maintenance and add-ons, SPINS updates)
  • Provide monthly promo ROI calculations and spend rate analysis to the sales team
  • Maintain company’s budget for data purchases including contract negotiations and management
  • Share out relevant reports such as POS data, market insights and forecasting trends to act as sales’ liaison to other departments within the company

Sales Analytics

  • Analyze data to find opportunities for sales growth, identify weaknesses and calculate incremental revenue and spend rates; share findings with sales team, brand team, and finance as relevant
  • Support the sales team in generating promotional calendars by providing recommendations based on sales trend data and promotional realizations
  • Monitor competitor data and rankings within our categories to provide competitive analysis to the Sales and Marketing teams
  • Stay up to date on the latest market trends and report back findings to the sales team and other departments as needed


Sales Presentations and Sales Team Support

  • Provide vital support to the sales team by generating sales stories and data slides for key account presentations such as category overview decks and retailer presentations
  • Build comprehensive category decks that show the full market landscape of each of our primary categories
  • Create and maintain retailer presentations in coordination with internal team and brokers to ensure completion; includes the updating of key selling slides with fresh data and new items
  • Manage organization of shared sales drive
  • Manage the creation and processing of new item paperwork and sales documents such as order forms, turnover forms, promotional forms, etc.
  • Manage trackers including broker sales activity, new item intros, etc.
  • Facilitate product updates in portals such as RangeMe and SPINS Product Hub
  • Maintain broker contact lists, content upload, and the broker onboarding and broker offboarding process
  • Attend retailer meetings and trade shows as requested
  • Assist sales leadership in the planning and execution of events such as Tabletop Shows and Tradeshow, including assistance with registration, travel, event logistics, materials preparation, and coordination of shipping needs
  • Handle administrative requests and queries from Sales Managers, including accessing SPINS and Netsuite data
  • Administer SPIFF (Sales Program Incentive Fund) and Promotional Sales Programs.
  • Facilitate onboarding of new accounts in Asana.
  • Create quarterly and ad hoc broker mailings, with received orders placed through the portal.
  • Coordinate monthly newsletter with input from Sales Managers.
  • Generate order requests, and identify problematic/overstock skus at the DC level.
  • Oversee logistics for export channel of business - existing accounts outside of North America and the logistics of new business development.

Other

  • Support a safe working environment by reporting any unsafe conditions or observed, unsafe conduct.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as directed by the manager


SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and Powerpoint or Google Slides
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Must be able to work accurately with great attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at all levels
  • Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to learn and gain proficiency in database systems and software programs


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS or Associates degree required; strongly preferred in quantitative discipline, i.e., Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or another applicable business-related field. Equivalent work experience required in lieu of related degree. Recent college graduates welcome to apply!
  • 1+ year of related working experience or previous internship experience preferred
  • Previous work in CPG or similar datasets preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the ability to work on a computer for a prolonged period of time.


GENERAL WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


This position may require occasional travel and the ability to navigate airports and transportation options to meet with customers and vendors.
