Our Salesforce administrator ensures that DetecTogether leverages the full benefits offered by Salesforce for Nonprofits CRM. In this role, your duties will include managing the Salesforce Cloud and working with our team to ensure accurate data entry and to help nurture relationships, manage grants, donations, and programs through Salesforce.
You should possess considerable knowledge of Salesforce administration and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You should be flexible and able to respond to shifting demands for reporting or tracking and be able to manage and import data from sources such as event registration, mobile bidding, and peer to peer fundraising platforms.
Our Salesforce administrator reports to the vice president of development and corporate relations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Maintain gift processing and acknowledgement processes; ensure timely donor thank you letters and tax receipts, reconcile donor records with the general ledger monthly, provide complete and accurate records for annual audit.
- Develop personalized management dashboards, fields, alerts, and reports to shorten activation cycles and track leads in greater detail.
- Manage pledge reminders & invoice system.
- Prepare accurate lists for mailings, solicitations, e-newsletters, annual reports, and program campaigns.
- Train users on Salesforce processes, onboard new users, and create training materials. Make it as easy as possible for users of any technical level to use Salesforce.
- Stay updated on the platform's new tools, capabilities, and enhancements. Assist in continuous process improvement and customization of the platform.
- Collaborate with the VP to create, manage, and update portfolios, track fundraising metrics and goals.
- Create and manage reports for analysis to evaluate the success of campaigns, individual donor/prospect solicitation, and stewardship goals.
- Act as the first point of contact for Salesforce and donor support inquiries and provide timely and effective support and solutions to address any issues that arise.
- Support donor relations programs to enhance donor communication, prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship.
- In collaboration with the VP of Development, support foundation and grant operations such as deadline management, reports, data collection, stewardship, & prospecting.
Other Functions
- Oversee the support of DetecTogether Charity Athletes (e.g., Boston Marathon).
- Support DetecTogether’s Signature Event with an emphasis on registration, back-end auction support, and invoice management.
- Special projects and other necessary duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce administrator in a similar environment.
- Considerable experience with Salesforce products, functionalities, and best practices.
- Ability to work with colleagues with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Passion for the mission of DetecTogether.
- Builds positive relationships, has strong interpersonal skills, and is results oriented.
Working Environment:
Office environment with a hybrid schedule (remote Mondays and Fridays if desired). May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.
Physical Requirements:
- Interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
- Must be able to communicate face-to-face and on the phone.
