The Opportunity
At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a SAP Functional Analyst. Leonardo is a global high-tech company and one of the key players in Aerospace, Defence and Security. Headquartered in Italy, Leonardo has over 45,000 employees, of which 7,000 are based in the UK.
This role can be based from our Basildon, Yeovil or Edinburgh sites. The role can be carried out mostly from home with occasional travel to the sites.
You will be the professional lead in a discrete area and provides complex advice in support of the organisations effectiveness. You will undertake specialist activities and may schedule and plan the work of others to achieve set business objectives. You will self sufficiently, design and develop business / process enhancing solutions using preferred tools.
The SAP Functional Analyst will deliver early life support for new solutions.
Support established in-house developed solutions.
Add value to existing business processes / procedures by improving efficiency and effectiveness.
May assist in the management of third party and internal suppliers.

What you will do
Deliver projects from design to completion to achieve required business outputs.
Co-ordinate and supervise the activities of team members.
Take ownership of and solve more complex technical problems and issues within own specialty.
Prioritise work and time to deliver solutions to incidents, problems, change requests and projects meeting Service Level Agreements.
Work with the business to analyse requirements, design and deliver solutions.
Provide support for migration projects as and when required.
Understand the business requirements and translate it into solution framework / architecture.
Work with business experts and technical resources to facilitate incident & problem resolution.
Ensure effective communication with business and project stakeholders.
Work will require less supervision and will be more complex in nature.
Coordinate the development of code elements and review.
Obtain acceptance for all deliverables from the business.
Ensure adherence to internal and external standards for all solutions.
