Homestead Sawmill is a small, family run, custom sawmill that supplies niche lumber products to Central and Western Oregon. We're very busy and looking to add a team member to help with all aspects of day-to-day operations. We offer a laid-back work environment, flexible scheduling, production bonuses and more!

Job Duties Include:

* Sorting, & Stacking Lumber
* Cutting Logs to Length for the Sawmill
* Assisting Customers with Loading of Finished Product
* Operation of Sawmill to Saw Accurate, Quality Lumber
* Split Firewood Using a Hydraulic Firewood Splitter
* General Clean-up of Work Area

Tools and Equipment Used:

* Chainsaws
* Skid Steer
* Measuring Tape
* Portable Sawmill
* Twin Blade Board Edger
* Circular Saw
* Chop Saw
* Hydraulic Firewood Splitter

Physical Requirements:

* Work Outside in a Variety of Weather Conditions
* Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time on Hard (dirt) Ground
* Lift, at most, up to 50 Pounds at a Frequency of Once per Approximately 8 minutes
* Lift and move/stack up to 20 Pounds at a Frequency of Once per Approximately 2 minutes

* Valid driver's license to Operate Company Vehicles

We Will Happily Train the Right Candidate for this Position, However Experience with Chainsaws & Equipment is Preferred.
