While receiving leadership support from the Mission Team Leader, the Scheduler advances our mission by scheduling day to day services to ensure that Mission Team is fully staffed to support participants at each job site. Actively participates in problem solving and resolving scheduling barriers for continuity of placement. The Scheduler will align service delivery in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision, values and brand of Goodwill NCW.
Key Responsibilities
- Creates and modifies work schedules for the job coach and case manager team.
- Communicates clearly and openly with the leader, Job Coach and Case Manager team regarding schedules and assignments as well as balancing PTO requests with assignments.
- Works as part of a team in a fast paced, ever changing, and challenging environment in order to meet the scheduling needs of the client.
- Assists in the preparation and execution of orientation and training plans as it relates to the participant schedules and business expectations.
- Works with the team to ensure punches are accurate and up to date. Confirms timecards are accurate for leader to approve payroll.
- Prepares and submits reports on schedules and billing.
- Utilizes Human Capital Management (HCM) system to prepare, change and update schedules.
- Fulfills schedule vacancies in advance to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts. Proactively problem solves access to meet client needs and optimizes resource utilization.
- Demonstrates service skills to provide an exceptional customer service experience for team and client.
- Performs administrative tasks as needed for the team.
- Is cross trained at sites requiring a job coach and coaches based on schedule needs.
- Is trained in reporting requirements of funding sources and serves as subject matter expert to provide guidance to the job coach team as needed.
- Addresses patterns of concern and escalates to the manager as appropriate.
Education, Skills & Experience Requirements
- At least one (1) year of experience in staff scheduling is required.
- Knowledge of staffing policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a diverse audience and all levels of management.
- Understanding of confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information.
- At least an intermediate level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.
- Highly conscientious and focused on accuracy.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to meet expected goals on time.

- Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extensive team member contact and frequent interruptions.
- Primary function requires sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, lift, carry, push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight.
- Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including use of a computer keyboard.
- Travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation.
- Verbally communicate to exchange information.
