The Scheduler Specialist is responsible for effective service delivery to clients, guiding, and directing Caregivers schedules. The Scheduler will assist with the assignment of appropriate staff to clients, schedule client services, identify problem situations and assist in problem solving to strive for optimum outcomes.

As a scheduler you will be the “Voice of FirstLight”.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Answering incoming calls
  • Conducts Phone Intakes for Clients, and Veterans.
  • Creates and maintains caregivers and client’s schedules. Schedule’s client appointments/visits according to care plans and staff availability.
  • Contacts care providers and clients regarding day-to-day changes.
  • Discerns client services required as outlined in agreements, urgent requests, and care plans.
  • Enters clients and veteran’s information into database and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
  • Point of contact for Long Term Care Insurance Client.
  • Performs general office duties including but not limited to word processing, photocopies, files, shreds, sort/distributes mail, provides reception and telephone services.
  • Assist in keeping client and employee files in compliance with AHCA and FirstLight guidelines.
  • Takes calls after hours and weekends to handle emergencies, scheduling issues, and client referrals and intakes.
  • Quality assurance, contact caregivers and new clients routinely.


Hourly schedule will change after training period, MUST be flexible?

Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED.
  • A passion to see seniors experience the best quality of life.
  • Excellent Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Prior scheduling experience preferred.
  • Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel, and scheduling software.
  • Basic medical terminology.
  • Previous HHA or CNA experience preferred (not required)
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Sense of urgency
  • Multi-task and effectively deal with the demands of the job.
