Woodburn/Salem Scheduling Specialist (Bilingual in Spanish)
The Woodburn/Salem Scheduling Specialist will follow standard operating procedures for intake, scheduling, contact, and documentation activities.
Essential Job Duties:
· Identifies, collects, and determines (in accordance with established policies and procedures) the accuracy and completeness of patient financial, insurance, and demographic information to ensure compliant claims to third party payers and to facilitate processing of account payments
· Processes referrals, collects intake documents, and schedules appointments for all company providers
· Confirms active insurance coverage and processes reminder notifications for all clinical appointments
· Acts as liaison between clients and clinicians as it pertains to insurance or scheduling issues when needed
· Provides support and acts as a resource for team members, clinical staff, and other professionals
· Effectively solves unique problems as they arise utilizing resources and available references and identifies when to escalate issues to appropriate supervisor/manager.
· Demonstrates professional behavior, appropriate work ethic, cooperation, and teamwork
· Adheres to HIPAA privacy standards and regulations
· Supports the vision, mission, and values of the organization in all respects
· Provides and maintains a safe environment for co-workers and clients
· Conducts themselves with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality
· Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
· Supports the organization’s efforts to create and maintain a trauma-informed care culture and utilize non-violent communication when navigating disagreements and conflict
· Acts ethically and appropriately and cooperates fully with all organizational efforts to increase the well-being of our clients and work environment
· May perform additional duties of similar complexity within the organization, as required or assigned
· Participates in meetings and trainings as required
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Experience: Three (3) years’ experience in scheduling, preferably in a multi-provider practice/hospital/mental health office

- Ability to operate office equipment and various software and computer programs (Google, SharePoint, Microsoft, EMR/HER’s)

- Maintain confidentiality requirements regarding patients
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Ability to deal professionally, courteously, and efficiently with the public, and to remain calm under stress
- Bilingual in Spanish is required
- Able to work from a HIPAA compliant home office, and may be able to join team meetings in the Woodburn/Salem area
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
