Learning Prep School is seeking a Full-Time School Custodian who is available for a temporary assignment starting as soon as possible and running through the end of August 2023. The ideal candidate has 2+ years working in a custodial or environmental services role. Experience working in a school or similar setting is a plus!

This is a full time position: Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, with some day-to-day flexibility. This is a temporary position running through the end of August.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (Vocational School preferred)
• Must pass CORI and fingerprinting background check
• School custodian/janitor and/or kitchen experience preferred
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs, stand/walk for long periods of time, perform repetitive movements, work with standard cleaning materials and equipment, and bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch to perform work.

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Job Goal: To provide custodial/maintenance services to ensure that our school facilities are a safe, clean environment for students, staff and the general public

Responsibilities:

• Must demonstrate safe work habits, including the proper care, use and safety of all hazardous materials, chemicals and equipment
• Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Fulfils responsibilities for the cleaning and care of the interior and exterior of the facilities.
• Report any safety concerns or faulty equipment immediately to the Facilities Manager in writing.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
