School Social Worker

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Social Worker who can provide services to students in Minooka, IL for two leave positions. With the two consecutive positions, this role would begin on March 9th, 2023, and continue for the remainder of the 2022-23 school year.

Position Details:

1st Leave Coverage:

• Location: Minooka, IL
• Dates: March 9th - April 27th (2023)
• Age of students: 3 - 5 years
• Hours: 8:20 am - 3:55 pm (Mon - Fri)
• Caseload: about 40 students
• Provide students with morning and afternoon social work support

2nd Leave Coverage:

• Location: Joliet, IL
• Dates: April 28th - End of the school year (2023)
• Age of students: Kindergarten - Fourth grade
• Hours: 8:10 am - 3:45 pm (Mon - Fri)
• Provide therapy to students on the caseload via IEP and MTSS
• Assist in crisis situations: if needed
• Complete special education evaluations: if needed

Overall:

• Communicate with students, staff, and families to identify how students are progressing
• Understand, follow, and participate in developing IEP/504 plans for students
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

• Master’s Degree in Social Work
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Prior experience working with students in PreK - 4th Grade preferred
