About The Role

We are looking for a Scientist II/ Sr. Scientist to join the formulation team within our growing tRNA CMC Group. The position will be responsible for developing and characterizing LNP/ other formulations to support both the company's internal in-vitro/ in-vivo studies and external animal tox/ clinical batches.

Core Responsibilities

• As part of the formulation team, you will evaluate, formulate and characterize novel LNPs/ other formulations for Alltrna tRNA's.
• Work closely to provide formulation/ characterization support to company's in vitro and pre-clinical studies.
• Provide formulation/ technical support to external vendors/ collaborators.
• Assist in setting and maintaining general laboratory functionality, including lab equipment maintenance and the ordering, and receiving of lab supplies.
• Ensure adequate rigorous laboratory practices and documentation in regulatory-ready research manner.
• Write study specific procedures for analytical methods, protocols, and reports and provide training on processes and equipment.
• Evaluate, interpret, and compile formulation/ characterization data into study reports.
• Summarize and present data to key internal stakeholders from interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications and Skills

• PhD (Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering, or a related discipline) with 2+ years (Scientist)/ 5+ (Senior Scientist) of direct experience in parenteral formulations for biopharmaceutical applications.
• Understanding/ experience in pre-formulation and formulation principles/ application of pharmaceutical parenteral products.
• Understanding/ experience in analytical/ bioanalytical characterization of LNP/ other formulations (Size/ PDI, charge, RNA quantitation assays etc.)

The preferred candidate will ideally also possess the following skills:

• Knowledge of statistical software and applications for design of experiments in pre-formulation/ formulation development
