The screw machine operator is responsible for operating a screw machine to produce high-precision metal parts used in various industries. The job duties include:

1. Machine setup: Setting up the machine by installing and adjusting the necessary tools, equipment, and fixtures for the production run.

2. Material preparation: Loading and unloading raw materials into the machine and ensuring that they are properly aligned for machining.

3. Quality control: Performing routine checks and measurements to ensure that the finished parts meet specifications and quality standards.

4. Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubrication to keep the machine in good working order.

5. Troubleshooting: Identifying and addressing problems with the machine or the production process to minimize downtime and ensure quality.

6. Documentation: Maintaining accurate production records, including machine settings, production rates, and quality control data.

7. Safety compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

3. Attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

5. Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

6. Required to occasionally lift 50 pounds and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds such as moving parts from material storage and moving parts in and out of work area.
