Northrop Grumman's Space Systems organization is seeking a Director of Project Management 1, SDS Division Operations, Integration and Training to join our team of highly motivated and diverse individuals. The selected candidate will report to and be responsible for supporting Vice President SDS Division Engineering & Manufacturing Operations within the SDS Division and manage/oversee its operational aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads team of Technical Writers that provide governance documents for the Division Engineering Manufacturing Operations and Program teams
- Leads the Training Team to ensure focus on training for My Learning Exchange (MLE), LX and all Rotational Programs – for development, publication and execution verification for core and required knowledge training
- Provides horizontal integration across the Division Engineering & Manufacturing Operations teams
- Develops executive level briefings, papers and correspondence
- Coordinates and supports all Communities of Practice (CoP) across engineering Division teams
- Provides general management of budget/forecast and earned value management across multiple teams and funding sources
- Supports Division wide engineering staffing needs (including the interns/UR&R) by leading collaboration across the functional managers and talent acquisition partner for fulfillment
- Supports Division wide development of processes and tools ensuring clear requirements and standardization
- Collaborate the LRSP (Long Range Strategic Planning) portfolio with the functional managers including budgets planning, monitoring progress and status reporting
- Build relationships and effectively listens and communicates to influence, and ensure accountability across a network of stakeholders
- Establishes Agile Standards and Practices throughout the Division Engineering Manufacturing Operations team and leads Program Increment planning/execution
- Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, and 10+ years of experience OR a master’s degree with 8+ years of experience
- Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance
- 5 years of experience leading a team
- Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current and active Top Secret security clearance
- Master's in Business or technical field
- Exceptional oral, written, and presentation communication skills
- Depth and breadth of experience with defense products and services, including understanding of DoD weapons programs
- Excellent leadership, organizational and facilitation skills
- 8 - 10 years of management experience
- Experience supporting cross-business initiatives and/or programs
- Knowledge of the DoD/USAF Acquisition Lifecycle
- Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal
