Beacon Hill is looking for TEMPORARY Seasonal assistance working in the Community Garden. Qualified individuals should have experience with large scale home or commercial growing and an interest in joining our community focused approach.
Our open concept Farm to Table Garden Café serves residents and staff a seasonal menu created by our chefs with the help of our Gardeners. We offer a peaceful setting with outdoor seating surrounded by Gardens in the heart of the Eastgate neighborhood.
*Position has opening and closing responsibilities, requiring applicants to be at least 18 years of age.
Shift: Part Time; 40 hours per bi-weekly pay period (20 hours/week) with flexible hours
Wage: $13-$15 an hour
Department: Independent Living
Responsibilities:
- Rototilling, planting, weeding and pruning of garden
- Harvesting with some processing of produce
- Composting
- Maintaining the area surrounding the Garden
- Limited application of chemicals
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Knowledge of care for fruit trees and grapevines, preferred
- Team Player
- Must be 18+ years old
- Must be a good communicator
- Listens well
- Speaks clearly
- Actively looks for ways to help people

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
