Seasonal Highway Dept. Positions (Equipment Operator & Parks Maintenance)
Job description
Yellow Medicine County is hiring seasonal positions (40 hours/week, Monday-Thursday) in the Highway Department (Equipment Operator or Light Equipment Operator and Parks Maintenance). The positions would report to either the Granite Falls or Canby highway shop. The positions would be responsible for mowing and maintaining county parks, mowing road right of ways, assist in operating equipment such as tractors, trucks, loaders, asphalt rollers and related equipment that is used in care and maintenance of County roads and other duties as assigned. Minimum requirements: Any combination of education/experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience in the operation and maintenance of motorized equipment and tools or lawn maintenance. Must possess a valid Minnesota driver’s license. Starting pay is $16.99/hr.-$22.06/hour. DOQ. Length of employment is approximately June through August. Positions are open until filled.
