Job title: Seasonal Event Staff

Reports to: Events & Operations Manager

Job objective: To provide event setup services, guest assistance, admissions support, and event information distribution.

THE JOB:

Dragons and Mythical creatures are taking over the garden this summer! Guests will take to the Fossil Pathway as it leads them through the Dragoneers Backcountry Trail, home to 16 fantastic, mythic giants from the world's different cultures.

In search of someone who is highly self-motivated and equally talented and used to working on a team. This position requires creativity with a high level of detail and problem-solving. This role serves as an Ambassador for the event and is the most guest interacting position available. Having someone great at maintaining positive energy while keeping a clean work area around their stations is pivotal.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interact and greet Guests; while providing support and answers to any of their questions or requests.
• Present and coordinate event activities with guests (kids/family)
• Maintaining guest safety within the overall event. (Including nearest restrooms, food stops, etc.)
• Directing Guests to correct areas and spaces, with a strong knowledge of the event layout.
• Maintaining constant communication via 2-way radio with Show Managers and Production Team
• Maintaining Attraction queues accordingly. (Including cleaning, queue adjustment, signage needs, etc.)
• Assist direct Supervisor(s) by logging hourly guest counts and recording
• Assisting various depts as needed; (Including Retail and Box Office).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous experience of working in a garden, zoo, museum, or themed attraction is a plus.
• Working knowledge of how to operate 2-way radios
• Guest Service focused
• Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand for up to 7 hours during a shift
• Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Must be able to commit to schedule availability, with Weekends, Evenings, and Holidays available.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing.
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $16.00 per hour
