Starting Pay Range: $45,000 - $57,000

The Buckeye Ranch is currently seeking a Secondary Teacher to join our Day Treatment program. The Secondary Teacher's primary responsibility is to plan and direct learning experiences, both in the academic and the behavioral management areas during the school year.

Schedule: Full-time, Exempt, Normal School Hours

Location: Columbus, OH

What you'll do:

• Identifies indicators of age-appropriate development in all domains for children of varying ages.
• Adapts services, including evidence-based inter-professional team approaches, to the language, cultural norms, and individual preferences of healthcare consumers and family members.
• Educates clients, family members, and other providers about healthcare conditions, prevention, available treatments, illness and whole health self-management, peer support and recovery.
• Delivers brief, trauma-informed, problem-oriented treatment for mental conditions or problematic health behaviors.
• Manages behavioral health crises through appropriate interventions.
• Provide documentation in accordance with standards of practice and established policies and procedures of the Ranch and accrediting and regulatory standards.
• Consistently records client progress in relation to treatment goals.
• Demonstrates the ability to balance the inclusion of information with client rights to confidentiality at it pertains to the position held.
• Collect, assess, and record student grades utilizing formative and summative assessments.
• Report to students, families, and home school district on grades and IEP data every 9 weeks.
• Creates effective lesson plans, implements individual and group instructional strategies and accurately assesses students.

Who you are:

• You have a bachelor's degree in education, or related field
• You preferably have previous experience teaching behaviorally challenged students
• You have an active Ohio K-12 teaching license
• You have an active Ohio driver's license
