Job description
Swansea Council is looking for Section 12 doctors to complete assessments for the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team. You would be working on a self-employed basis and we will pay you a per assessment fee of £180 to complete the Form 3a and 4. We do not pay mileage.

You will need excellent interpersonal and report writing skills. You will need access to a laptop and phone.
You will be able to work flexibly and complete as many assessments as fits in with your other commitments each week. In return you will have access to legal updates and internal training and will be supported by an experienced and knowledgeable DoLS team.
Doctors will need to be section 12 approved.
Section 12 doctors must be insured in respect of any liabilities that might arise in connection with carrying out the role and have a valid Disclosure and Barring Service certificate.
