POSITION SUMMARY - : The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the property, guests and employees. The Security Officer responds to all emergency situations as needed. NOTE: Both AM & PM shifts are available.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to work with guests to resolve complaints in a positive manner.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner.
• Must be willing to work a variety of shifts.
• Previous law enforcement or security experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide security to all guests and employees. Respond in a timely manner when dispatched. Create accurate written reports on security incidents. Check identification of persons entering the building. Check handbags, boxes and containers of employees leaving the building. Maintain daily log sheet. Responsible for care of equipment and cleanliness of area. Report all unsafe conditions. Remain alert, courteous and helpful to guests. Be knowledgeable to the location of the first aid kits, fire extinguisher.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist employees, guests and vendors as necessary. Perform any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
