Security Officer

Duties will be based on a core 24/7 shift pattern, working mainly late and nightshifts when rostered to work between Monday - Friday, and 12 hours day and nightshifts on Saturday and Sunday, although some flexibility is expected.

Duties will include carrying out foot patrols across the University estate at both Kings and Foresterhill Campuses, securing of buildings, static duties within buildings and within a Security Control room including CCTV monitoring, and responding to alarms and any emergencies.

The successful candidate will be provided with a uniform, protective clothing and on site training and mentoring.

Applicants must have good written and oral communication skills and should be educated to standard grade level or equivalent.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 3 scale (£21,197 - £23,715 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
