Job description
- supervise a highly demanding shift of security officers responsible for safe-guarding property against illegal entry, fire, theft and vandalism
- ensure the presence of required security officers to fulfill all necessary tasks for shift or facility
- ensure the quality of performance of security officers, patrol area of responsibility, maintain schedules, make frequent patrol rounds, maintain daily activity log, and complete incident reports
- enforce all Publix security policies and procedures, detain and question person(s) as required
- report directly to the Manager of Security Operations, but will work with facility management in matters of safety, security and loss control
- complete other security duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: • security officer and/or security clerk experience
- must be at least 20 years of age with a valid driver’s license
- working knowledge of Word, Access, Excel and Outlook
- able to withstand walking and standing for long periods of time
- excellent supervisory skills
- able to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended periods of time
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- able to use a two-way radio
- able to work well with others and be a team member
