Senior Account Executive, Sustainability
Finn Partners’ Purpose practice works with a broad range of corporations, nonprofits, associations, and government agencies to raise awareness for major social and environmental causes and manage issues related to corporate sustainability priorities. This SAE role is a full-time position focused on the DC-based corporate sustainability team. The position will be based out of FINN’s Washington D.C. office. The sustainability team operates on a hybrid work schedule, 3 days in the office.
I. Job Summary:
This position in the Finn Partners’ Purpose practice provides an opportunity to work on sustainability campaigns for major corporations, non-profits and global foundations and advance social good through integrated communications and marketing. The ideal candidate will have strong media relations background and experience in the Sustainability or nonprofit space. As a Senior Account Executive, you will be a key member of our tight-knit, collaborative and highly motivated team engaged in a range of assignments spanning earned media relations, publicity-driven events and account management/reporting. You will be an active contributor to the quality work and earned media outcomes we generate daily for an array of clients.
Specific responsibilities will include intensive media pitching; securing consistent media coverage across a wide range of sustainability, business, environmental trade, consumer, and news publications; building and maintaining strong relationships with press and executive client contacts; developing assets (Press Releases, Pitches, Fact Sheets, Media Briefings, etc.) that will pique media interest; admin and reporting for clients and actively participating in team brainstorms and staff meetings. Senior Account Executives also will contribute to thought leadership strategy/ writing; new business presentations and assist with client management/counsel. You will come equipped with strong media contacts and proven track record securing national media placements; experience in client relations; excellent writing skills; and strong attention to detail.

Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment
Ability to balance multiple clients and deadlines
Solid understanding of the broader sustainability landscape; develop opportunistic client storyline recommendations and communication strategy surrounding them
