The Operations team is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the individual communities across the portfolio with a focus on creating value, providing superior service to our customers, and properly maintaining the community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-4 years of real estate or strong analytical experience to support a dynamic Operations Department. This individual collaborates closely with the larger Operations organization, Asset Management, Finance and Data Platform teams to identify opportunities and areas of success. The Operations Analyst will primarily focus on reporting, gathering and analyzing data, and supporting the team with the annual budget process and quarterly earnings calls.
Responsibilities include:

Support the Operations team in analyzing and reporting operational and financial data.

Support the team with the annual budget process and quarterly earnings calls.

Develop, maintain, and implement reports and dashboards that provide a summary of portfolio performance.

Prepare recurring and ad-hoc presentations for Senior Management that evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and distill findings into actionable insights.

Maintain working relationship with internal departments to ensure key objectives are achieved.

Exhibit detailed understanding of financial modeling and assist in underwriting.

All other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

BS/BA with emphasis on real estate, finance, accounting, data and/or economics required.

Minimum 2-4 years of experience in real estate, financial planning & analysis, and BI reporting is preferred.

Detail-oriented, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated and highly curious, with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style.

Experience with BI data visualization (PowerBI/Tableau), cloud-computing platforms (AWS/Azure), data warehousing, and GIS analytics is a strong plus.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.

Ability to travel.

The salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $128,000.00 per year. New hires generally start between $85,000.00 - $107,000.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.
This role is also eligible to participate in Essex’s discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
