In this position, you will support the Information Technology Center (ITC) as a portfolio coordinator for the Project Management Office (PMO). This position is responsible for a full range of activities that ensure the operational quality and effectiveness of technology solutions delivered by ITC for seven county departments (Transportation, Flood Control, Animal Care and Control, Real Estate, Planning and Development, Environmental Services, and Equipment Services).

We Require
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
-
Four years of business systems analysis which includes experience serving as a liaison between the community and an IT organization
-
An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Three years of experience working with technology solutions

Experience utilizing the Agile project management methodology

Experience in developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with the customers

Experience creating strategic focus based on current and future business needs

Advanced proficiency with MS Visio and MS Project or similar

Advanced understanding of analytic functions within the PMO to approve all project requirements

Advanced proficiency in presenting workflow diagrams, requirements, and process recommendations to customers

Professional Business Analysis certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI) PMI-PBA, International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), Lean-Agile, or Six Sigma Certification
Job Contributions

Lead or participate in multiple large-scale enterprise portfolio projects by completing and updating project documentation; project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones

Under minimal supervision, analyze software requirements, procedures, and problems to automate new or enhance existing software applications/systems

Utilize advanced understanding of the software development life cycle, requirement modeling, and process mapping. Identify areas to improve process solutions and recommendations to appropriate management groups as needed

Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems Agile Business Analysis and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing mentorship and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices

Review and approve all documented processes and procedures, workflow diagrams, business use-cases, user stories, flowcharts, technical specifications, user-interface mockups, and prototypes for the PMO
-
Mentor team to promote good business relationships; prioritizes project work, delegates tasks, and coordinate activities with internal customers and ITC colleagues, ensuring project requirements are ready for successful project implementations

Focus on PMO time-driven delivery, set deadlines, follow schedules, and ensure targeted dates or milestones are met. Have a working knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices and methodologies, including SCRUM and Kanban

Laisse with all levels of the organization to facilitate clarity for understanding complex work processes for project collaboration

Contribute to project team meetings and ensure project information is shared for collaboration with the PMO team
-
Provide status updates on work in progress, targeted deliverable dates, and percentage complete to the PMO Team and ITC leadership following proper escalation paths; and managing customer relationships
Working Conditions

Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly OR requires walking or standing to a significant degree

Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
