Role: Senior Database Developer

Project Overview:
Client is looking for a Senior Database Developer to join our team. In this role, you will support the Design, development, and maintenance of transactional and NoSQL databases. Your responsibility will be to provide technical solutions to the ever-growing needs of the customers with data and database management.
Position Overview:
Experience developing and implementing both SQL and NoSQL solutions in a Cloud environment, such as AWS DynamoDB, AWS DocumentDB, Mongo DB, AWS Aurora
Experience in developing solutions that utilize serverless technologies, such as AWS Lambda
Experience utilizing tools such as Open API or Swagger to describe data required for both front-end and backend developers
Experience utilizing AWS Athena for searching AWS S3
Experience developing and implementing search solutions using Elasticsearch, Kibana, OpenSearch
Strong understanding of logical and physical database modeling and design concepts.
Understand the complex data model of large Enterprise level system.
Designing and maintaining database tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
Strong understanding of database tuning, query tuning, and indexing strategies.
Solid experience of writing complex database queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
Work in a collaborative office environment with other developers, business analysts, and a project management team.
Work with the development team and implement database policies and processes to ensure data integrity and seamless deployment of application enhancements to testing and production environments.
Understand the business needs and work with system owners and project managers to develop and implement complex querying and report solutions using datasets available through existing systems and datasets external to the customer unit.
Ensure that new database code meets standards for readability, reliability, and performance.
Ensure timely delivery of reports and manage conflicting priorities and customer expectations.
Research and identify root cause/data issues.
Qualifications
Employer will accept a suitable combination of education, training, or experience
5 – 7 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting relational databases like PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle.
Hands-on experience designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting NoSQL Databases, such as Mongo DB, AWS DynamoDB, AWS DocumentDB, Cassandra
Experience with industry best practices for the development of database solutions in cloud environments, including AWS
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ready to embrace a fast-paced work environment with deadlines and new challenges
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, business intelligence, economics, statistics, or mathematics.
