The Senior Director, Total Rewards, is responsible for developing and implementing a global strategy and philosophy for compensation, benefits, recognition, mobility, and wellness that drives attraction, development, and retention of key talent, in alignment with the company’s business goals and talent strategy.
This position will be based out of our Corporate headquarters in Parsippany, NJ with a flexible remote work schedule. Selected candidate will be expected to spend time initially onsite to complete onboarding and training.

Senior Director, Total Rewards (Remote)
The Senior Director, Total Rewards, is responsible for developing and implementing a global strategy and philosophy for compensation, benefits, recognition, mobility, and wellness that drives attraction, development, and retention of key talent, in alignment with the company’s business goals and talent strategy.
A successful candidate will work closely with their team of HR Directors, regional HR operations, business leaders, company executives and the compensation committee to ensure we offer attractive, relevant, competitive, and equitable rewards to our employees, as an integral component of a compelling value proposition. The individual must possess a keen balance of strategic thinking, long-term vision, practical execution, and short-term results. As our company grows, and our business portfolio rapidly evolves, we need a collaborative, creative leader, who possesses deep rewards expertise, extensive industry knowledge and a passion for problem solving and helping diverse businesses meet or exceed their goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Successfully deliver total rewards programs that our employees understand and value, and that enable us to achieve our business objectives.
- Take a creative approach, grounded in data and considering our varied employee population, and in collaboration with executive leadership, to build, implement, and refine our total rewards philosophy and programs.
- Develop change management, implementation, and communication strategies.
- Pursue industry-leading and progressive total rewards programs; regularly monitor external trends to proactively make recommendations to adjust our total reward programs to stay competitive in the market while balancing our top-line and bottom-line objectives.
- Establish and measure key program metrics to understand the effectiveness of our total rewards strategy/philosophy, and to guide continuous improvement.
- Maintain a deep, strategic knowledge of the current total rewards landscape, particularly trends and contemporary developments.
- Lead, manage and develop the Total Rewards team by continuously and effectively coaching and developing each team member, including department leaders to ensure their success and satisfaction.
- Lead and manage the HRIS function, which is responsible for HR, time & payroll systems as well as talent / workforce reporting and the integration of systems through which personnel and time / pay data is transmitted.
- Support the natural working relationships between Total Rewards, Talent Management and HRIS including facilitating key decisions and roadmaps on interdependent topics.
- Act as a key advisor to Head of HR, HR leadership and management.
- Effectively partner with HR Leadership Team to communicate and help ensure an optimal user experience of broad HR programs.
- Develop deep relationships with leaders across the HR function and the broader organization, including regional HR leaders, business executives and country managing directors.
- Ensure equitable pay practices, internal equity, external competitiveness and legal compliance through audits, legal and SEC reporting and personal interactions with leaders to administer programs that are compliant with company policies and government regulations.
- Ensure benefit plans and programs are evaluated for compliance, recordkeeping/administration and cost effective relative to the market in coordination with benefits and local leadership.

Position Requirements:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s in Human Resources or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 15+ years of Human Resources experience, with at least 5 years leading a global Total Rewards Function. Ideally, experienced leading both compensation and benefits areas, with a demonstrated record of successfully designing and deploying complex rewards programs in each key area.
- 5+ years of multi-national manufacturing or industrial experience, including extensive experience with a large non-exempt employee population.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of global compensation and benefits practices and systems gained through past practical application, with experience outside the US including statutory / non-statutory benefits and market practices.
- Experience managing executive compensation design, administration, and governance.
- Experience designing and implementing incentive compensation schemes including sales compensation.
- Experiencing in SAP SuccessFactors is preferred; experience in other large-scale cloud based HCM systems is acceptable.
- Well-honed change management skills, including experience with multi-national M&A and complex project management.
- High-level strategic thinker, capable of partnering with senior leaders, but also capable and willing to be a hands-on mentor, manager, and “doer.”
- Strong relationship skills, and ability to build genuine relationships with people at all levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with short-term and long-term financial planning.
- Experience negotiating with vendors, including but not limited to benefits plan design, plan harmonization and emerging services.
- Self-starter and highly organized; able to work independently and exercise sound business judgment.
- Strong leadership presence with exceptional presentation and communication skills.
